10 Best Attractions In Las Vegas

Attractions In Las Vegas

Las Vegas or Sin City is the world’s most famous resort town. Located in the middle of the desert with nothing around it, Vegas seems like an oasis. The unique city is often described as a playground for grownups or America’s playground, with casinos (around 75 of them) and slot machines wherever you look, bars which are open around the clock and world famous shows and performers all within a walking distance

1. The Strip – The Las Vegas strip is the second most popular attraction in the United States after Times Square in Manhattan. The Strip is the main boulevard in Vegas. It is home to some of the world’s largest hotels (15 of the largest 25), largest casinos and largest resorts. Walking between the bright neon lights of the strip, you can get from the Eiffel Tower in Paris (or Paris Las Vegas) to a Gondola ride in Venice (in the Venetian) or to a quick visit in Rome (Caesars Palace) in just a few minutes. You can also take a short walk from Egypt (Luxor Hotel) to an amazing roller coaster in New York (New York-New York Hotel). The Strip is truly an incredible phenomena

3. Gambling – Las Vegas is the most famous gambling destination in the world. It is home to some of the world’s largest casinos and I doubt anyone leaves Vegas without trying to beat the house at least once. The size of some of these casinos is remarkable, with slot machines as far as the eye can see, and countless table games. You can play in the casino of your hotel (yes, it has one) or enter any other casino you may desire – they’ll be happy to take your money (or, less likely, give you some of theirs)

The fountains feature a vast choreographed water performances set to light and music, and are visible to everyone walking the strip. The show takes place every 30 minutes in the afternoons and early evenings, and every 15 minutes from 8 pm to midnight. 5. Hoover Dam – Built in the years 1931 till 1936, during the Great Depression, the Hoover dam is one spectacular concrete arch dam. It may not be one of the largest dams in the world today, but its construction in the middle of the desert in Nevada is remarkable and shows determination and self belief, and is therefore considered an amazing engineering achievement. Its impact on it’s surrounding, giving life to the once empty desert by means of electricity and irrigation water, is priceless. The dam provides electricity to Nevada, Arizona, and California. The dam is less than an hour drive from Las Vegas, so you could easily visit it in the morning and come back in time to catch a show, get drunk, enjoy the casino, or better yet – all of the above
