  • English is not most beautiful language. It may be popular language but it is not beautiful.English is popular because in ancient British Empire and The United States spread their language and religion also .I think most beautiful language is Sinhala .The Sinhala alphabet is not born once. It is a result of formations for thousands of years. We 125,000 years old history.sinhala is very old and very beautiful language.

    • Certainly, Sinhala script is very beautiful. It is phonetic too, therefore, names will not go wrong when written in Sinhala.

  • Sorry, but anyone that would put English as their most beautiful language when it is a grotesque, nonsensical mish-mash of many languages and a hot mess of weird rules with myriad exceptions for anyone studying ESL to learn should not be making lists of the top 10 most beautiful languages.

All I can say is that I am thankful I was born with English as my native language because the thought of having to learn it explicitly later on in life gives me nightmares when there are languages that make so much more sense out there, like Spanish.
