1. Hawaii – August 21, 1959 – The Aloha State was the 50th state to join the union
2. Alaska – January 3, 1959 – Alaska was added as the 49th state just six months before Hawaii was added
3. Arizona – February 14, 1912 – Arizona was the 48th state to join the union, over a century ago
4. New Mexico – January 6, 1912 – New Mexico join the union just over a month before Arizona did
5. Oklahoma – November 16, 1907
6. Utah – January 4, 1896 – Utah Territory was the last territory to become a state of the union in the 19th century
7. Wyoming – July 10, 1890
8. Idaho – July 3, 1890
9. Washington – November 11, 1889
10. Montana – November 8, 1889
